1. Turn on the microphone and hold a note

Press Turn on microphone, then stay 20–30 cm away and hold a comfortable “ah”.

  • The note name (C2–B5) and frequency (Hz) update live.
  • The voice is not saved as a file or sent to a server. Analysis stays in browser memory, and the 12-second graph keeps pitch numbers only. The same account is in Privacy.

2. Bring the needle to the center

The needle moves as you sing. Settle it in the green center.

  • Needle to the left (♭): the note is flat. Sing a little higher.

💡 Three ways to make practice clearer
Use earphones for the reference

When you play the reference tone, earphones keep the speaker out of the microphone.

Hold one vowel

A steady “ah” or “oo” gives the pitch detector a cleaner note than short spoken syllables.

Same behavior on every screen size

It works on a computer, tablet, or phone. The voice does not leave the browser, and leaving the tab turns the microphone off. Connections made just to open the page, such as fonts, are separated in Privacy.
